Your piece of the ocean

The Sea Pool is a precautionary barrier, designed to give you peace of mind while enjoying the ocean. A floating, steel-core net pool that inflates and ties securely to the back of your boat. Step across onto the seating deck, sit safely with your legs in, and swim in your own patch of sea. Everyone stays together, and the bigger stuff stays outside.

Why it exists

Your own personal swim net, wherever you anchor

The Sea Pool is a personal swim enclosure that travels with your boat. Choose your bay, drop anchor and set up a defined swim area right off the stern, so everyone can swim together in protected water while you keep an easy eye on things from the deck.

Everyone stays together

A defined swim area right off the stern. Nobody drifts off with the current, and you can see every swimmer from the boat.

The big stuff stays out

Our premium steel-core net is built to the same standard trusted to keep predators out of fish farms. It hangs square, 2 metres down on every side, with a full net floor underneath.

Sit, slide in, swim, climb out

The seating deck ties securely to your stern, with a standard deck for swim platforms or an outboard deck that wraps around the motor on trailer boats. Step across onto the deck, sit with your legs in the water or slide in for a swim, then climb back out easily with the grab handles or the rope ladder.

Three sizes

Pick the pool for your boat and your crew

Every Sea Pool is a fully custom design, not an off-the-shelf inflatable. The float is engineered to our own drawings, and every net is hand made and hand slung in Port Lincoln from premium steel-core netting. That craftsmanship is what goes into the price, and it is why we build in limited batches. And we haven't forgotten trailer boaters: every size is also available with an outboard deck that fits around your transom and motor, with extra deck space to lounge at your leisure.

Sea Pool XL and custom builds

For bigger boats and bigger crews. Alongside the standard production run, we build a small number of XL and custom Sea Pools each year, one at a time in Port Lincoln. Build slots are limited and go in order of enquiry.

  • Sea Pool XL, 8 x 6 m. About 42 m² of clear swim area, around 70% more than the 6 x 5. A 6 m seating deck that seats 4 adults, and room for 10 to 14 swimmers.
  • Custom. Your length and width, a deeper net, a seating deck at both ends, or your own colours, built to suit your boat.
  • Quoted individually. Price on application, with its own deposit and build timeline.

Optional extra · in development

Deterrent Pods

An optional add-on we're developing as an extra layer of reassurance on top of the steel-core net. We'll share the full details once our own testing is complete.

They'll only go on sale once our own testing is done, and we'll publish what that testing shows. Tick the box on the pre-order form if you're interested in adding a set to your Sea Pool. Price TBA.

Who builds it

Built by the team that builds swimming enclosures

Sea Pools began with a simple goal: our founder, a lifelong ocean lover, wanted a protected place for his three daughters to swim, and real peace of mind, whenever the family anchored in their favourite bays. It's built by the team behind Oceanic Barriers, who design, construct, install and maintain council swimming enclosures across South Australia, including the Ceduna Town Jetty enclosure. Founder Seaga Austin brings more than 25 years in the marine industry as a marine engineer and surveyor. The Sea Pool takes everything we've learned building enclosures for jetties and puts it on the back of your boat.

The bag

Packs away into its own carry bag

The Sea Pool rolls up with the net still attached and stows in a heavy-duty mesh duffel, included with every pool. The open mesh lets it drain and air out on the way home, and the padded shoulder strap and zip pocket make it easy to carry and store on board. Bag shown is a design concept, final product coming soon.
